Hi & welcome Nedad,
before you get started you should do some homework.
Use the search button and have a look at the numerous tutorials available in the "HowTo" section.
Some of your commands are wrong rather don't make sense.
There is no need to load both modules, but that is what you do.
You load the iwl4965 and ipwraw. One of them has to get disabled with the "-r" parameter. Depends of what you want to do which one has to be loaded.
(iwl4965 = managed mode / ipwraw = monitor mode)
You say your wireless card isn't running, but look at your own post:
What's your problem, your card is running fine!Code:wlan0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"" Nickname:"" Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=27 dBm Retry min limit:7 RTS thrff Fragment thr=2346 B Encryption keyff Power Managementff Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0 Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
You are stopping your card with "ifconfig wlan0 down" but never bring it up again. To do so: "ifconfig wlan0 up"
Thats all for now, because how I said first , plz do your homework before playing arround.
Backtrack isn't a linux distro to get started, it needs some experience.
