Cant break into my own wep signal, possibly hardware?

One question, when I send a fake authentication request, it says

"Authentication successful :-) (AID: 1)"

Whats AID: 1??

Interesting, I was looking at the video made by xploit on cracking WEP Networks
I see he gets arp, requests acks, sends packets, and gets pps's

Right now this is what mine reads

Read 12339 packets (got 0 ARP requests and 0 ACKs), sent 0 packets...(0pps)

What am I doing wrong?

You seem to be mixing up WPA and WEP encryption. In your thread title you say that you are having problems "breaking into my own WPA signal" but in your actual post you mention following a guide for cracking WEP. Remember that the procedure for cracking these two different forms of encryption is not the same.

ok, so read 100000+ packets, got 73k+ ARP's, all looks good, but 8 IV's? why only 8? I need atleast 5k to get into it

I dont get it though, thats my friends router, on my router, WEP, channel 1, it takes like 30 minutes to get 21 IV's (#data), why?
