How are you pasting the KEY?
Should be no spaces or : etc.
I am new to using the tools included in backtrack and I started using wepbuster. I decided to make my network WEP and crack it. So wepbuster stored my Key in owned.txt after it cracked it. I then used airmon-ng to take my card out of monitor mode and started my network and when I tried to connect to my network using WEP (Hex) and I pasted the key found I have no luck. I am probably doing something very wrong.
Any ideas/suggestions? All help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Have you checked if the HEX key matches the key you entered while setting up your WEP router?
your key that you got is probably like this "11:22:k9:9j:kg:6y" well you got the point.
When you use wicd to connect to that wlan you have to click a small arrow near the name your wlan and then choose advanced settings. there you should choose that you use "wep hex" encryption and your passphrase should be like this "1122k99jkg6y" and yes a lot longer
