getting robbed of my authority to access files
I admit I'm a Slax Newbie. And after I installed my BackTrack to hard drive I changed the root password as muts told us. I hadn't add any user yet. While I was using the OS, it ran okay at the first few moments, but after some time, say, 1 hour averagely, I couldn't access any tool, any file, the file system is locked and the warning is
"could not start process Unable to create io-slave: Read-only file system."
I then "End Current Session" under Xwindow, and the screen shows
"xauth: error in locking authority file /root/.Xauthority",
so I typed In "startx"
it gives error as
"fatal server error
could not create lock file in /tmp/.tx0-lock
xinit: connection refused (error 111)
xauth: error in locking authority file /root/.Xauthority"
So I had to logout, then i did "exit", the system asked me to login again first, but gave me no access even after I typed in the correct password.
Does anyone know what's going on there? I'm very confused...
