hello there.
when i try to open the file bootinst.bat it appears this:

Setting up boot records for I:, Please await...
Accessing Physical Drive: Access denied
Did not successful update the NBR; continuing....
Disk I: should be bootable now. installation finished.

well i want to install the linux back track on my pen.
when i reboot my system it appears:

NTLDR is missing.

may someone help me?

It is running out of ink.

What type of USB drive is it? I have heard of people having issues with some USB drives with a 2048 bytes block. Apperently the correct block size to make lilo or syslinux work is 512 bytes. Also seeing reports of people needing to be admin or root, depending on how you are running your show.

I believe your problem with ntldr could be related to:

Accessing Physical Drive: Access denied
Did not successful update the NBR; continuing.... (this is probably actually MBR)

Try your favorite search engine, looks like there is some information around on the same issue. Look on the slax forums as well.
