    had to be slackware.com.... 8kb/s the entire time, with all those files.... sucks... 8mb taking 17 minutes...

    ao255 - Thank you very much.
    I did everything that you wrotes and this worked without an errors.
    BUT
    after I did reboot, login in root, and ran startx
    The Fluxbox appeared me no KDE.....

    you have any more direction for me please????

    I wonder if it's possible to get this to work in the VMware image so I can make a LiveUSB with KDE4.1, since the squashfs support is a bit off and I haven't found a solution for it I can't use GNOME either.

    I forgot to point out that I try to install this on KDE4.1 on the VMware image... If this is important at all...

    ok my old problem stopped so now its just a matter of...

    I accidentally removed my panel at the bottom... and now I can only seem to make one at the top...

    and kpackage uses smart package manager meaning I don't think I can use kpackage correct? (since I was using slapt-get and installpkg and gslapt)

    The issue is not a missing library as stated... The issue is with GLIBCXX.

    You need the following package:

    gcc-g++-4.2.4-i486-1.tgz

    Once that is installed you will be fine.
