    First
    boot the backtrack and start with fluxbox

    step 1
    [delete the kde 3]

    Default ./remove-kde3.sh

    Im getting,

    ./remove-kde3.sh: Permission Denied.

    My install is on the hard drive and as Im logged in as root it should have permissions.... right ?

    You need to give that file permissibility.

    I Tried to do this according to your instructions
    I even do upgrate to slapt.
    But still this does not work and I receives this error:
    (White little window) "Could not start Kstratupconfig4. Check your installtion."

    what can i do?

    ok go to fluxbox and open Xterm
    type

    bt ~ #cd /user/bin
    bt ~ #./kstratupconfig4

    and look which Library (*.lib file) needed

    i dont have "user" directory only "usr".
    in /usr/bin i have file named "kstartupconfig" but his dont do nothing...

    and i forgot to mention that i n00b in linux so what i do with the library fils?

    I got the kde3 remove working after your assistance, now getting the following....
    kdtartupconfig4: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version 'GLIBCXX_3.4.9' not found

    The issue is not a missing library as stated... The issue is with GLIBCXX.

    You need the following package:

    gcc-g++-4.2.4-i486-1.tgz

    Once that is installed you will be fine.
