,i got kernel panic! when i append "comined_mode=libata" in lilo.conf
can u paste u're line in lilo.conf where u add it.

I'm not using a real install so I don't have to do any changes on the lilo.conf.
My guess is that you forgot to setup your lilo.conf correctly: once you append the libata configuration switch your / will reside on /dev/sda1 not /dev/hda1 that's why the kernel will panic not finding any / to run on.
Take a look at my syslinux.cfg: http://sid77.slackware.it/bt3/repo/extras/syslinux.cfg as you can see the changes= options points to /dev/sda2 which is the second partition on the eeePC ssd.
If you use the combined_mode parameter on a real install you'll have to set up the lilo.conf accordingly but for such kind of installation you're on your own as it's not officially supported by BT3.

I've got it running on my Eee 900. Not sure if it does anything, but hey, why not.

at best it will enable the acpi support but, frankly, I'm not too sure about it :-P

Hmm! My question was going to be will this work with the 901 but can see the answer is we don't really know?

The 901 has a much better battery life compared to the 70x but would still be nice to approach closer to XP's power efficiency and runtime in BT3.

So far the module seems very nice, but I have one question. When the screen is closed, the eee goes into a sleep mode, just like it would under the native Xandros Linux. However, it will not wake up when the touchpad or the keypad is touched. It requires a cold reboot. Is there some specific key combination that can be used to wake the eee?

If it works on the 900, I imagine it should work on the 901.

when the lid is closed it shut down the eee. there is no way to suspend BT3: like slackware 12.0, the stock kernel does not have CONFIG_PMU_SUSPEND enabled.
Here's the relevant content of /etc/acpi/actions/lid.sh:
