Kismet doesn't work

I have a Laptop Acer 7020G and I have installed on a pendrive 4gb "backtrack2.0 final", I try to make to run "Kismet" but after it opens the console and writes the first 2 lines, the console is closed.
How can I resolve this problem?

Have you specified your wireless source in the kismet.conf file? This is something that always needs to be done in order for kismet to function and have been extensively covered on the forum.

Yes, i have specified wireless source in the file kismet.config and trying to run from console Kismet, write the following message:

Launching kismet_server: /usr/local/bin/kismet_server
FATAL: Specifying a uid-0 user for the priv drop is pointless.
See the 'Installation & Security' and 'Configuration' sections of the README file for more information.

A quick search trough the Forum:

./configure --disable-setuid

Would be the correct usage.

I inserted another card usb wifi in Kismet and then writes:

Launching kismet_server: /usr/local/bin/kismet_server
Suid priv-dropping disabled. This may not be secure.
No specific sources given to be enabled, all will be enabled.
Enabling channel hopping.
Enabling channel splitting.
FATAL: Support for capture source type 'wlanng_legacy' was not built. Check the output from 'configure' for more information about why it might not have been compiled in.

There 'was nothing to do, I reinstalled Kismet configuring many times in various ways, I can not understand what happened.

You could try being a bit more specific, what is the wireless chipset used by this card and have you specified the correct source in kismet.conf?

Thanks for having responded, i said it is the wireless card in kismet.config but i resolved by reinstalling Backtrack, somewhat crude but effective solution
