What kind of error message do you receive, and does your card function in monitor mode otherwise? According to aircrack-ng both Linksys WMP54G v4 and Linksys WMP54G-UK v4.1 are supported, but there is no mention of WMP54GR.
Top of the morning to ya
I got a problem with "locking my card" to a specific channel. I've tried the airodump-ng -c 11 command, airmon-ng start wlan0 11, I've tried to use the command iwconfig wlan0 channel 11......
None of the above will work. Isn't that weird? does anyone have a solution to that problem of mine?
The wlan card is a Linksys WMP54GR.

-Monkeys are like nature's humans.
if you keep running -airodump-ng wlan0- shell , then the card will not lock channel. Just close the -airodump-ng wlan0- shell .
This can sometimes happen! it happens to me to!
Here's how to solve it! First do you information gathering first with either kismet or airodump
"airodump-ng [deviceinterface]"
Now write down the mac addresses that interest you + the channels the AP's are on...
now once you've done that close that airodump or kismet window...
usually you can now just do
"airodump-ng -c [channel] -w [filename] --bssid [bssidofchoice]"
and it will lock on whatever channel you specified...
if still however it is not, and its still roaming close that window and do
"airmon-ng stop [deviceinterface]"
"airmon-ng start [deviceinterface] [channel]"
now when you do the airodump command specifying the channel (-c) still it should now stay!
Yay I Can Post Now :)
