chroot problem solved................

bt~#mount --bind /sys/ /mnt/backtrack/sys/

perform the above task and after youdo -->

bt~#chroot /mnt/backtrack/ /bin/bash

It shoud work.....

Actually you only need to mount /proc and /dev however if that works for you ... cool
