Share wired connection to WLAN

Hi,

How to share wired network connection to wireless connection in BT4? is it just like fake accespoint, However Im not gonna use it to hack, but to share network with my iPod touch.

In Windows 7 is a software called Connectify.

I have some atheros card and USB alfa AWUS036H 1000mw.

With Gerix Wifi Cracker I can create fack accespoint, but it doesn give ip etc.

Yes I used google before posting, but all of these guides I found I had to edit some conf files, with no succeed.

Can I install these software to bt4 without getting GNOME instead kde

then we update and upgrade

sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude full-upgrade ; sudo update-icon-caches

Now I installed ubuntu to vmware and Im now installing these updates to virtual ubuntu. I have this ALFA AWUS036h 1000mw USB device. It should work.

It seems that I cant get that to work.


I can use airbase-ng or gerix wifi cracker to create face access point, but it doesnt give IP Well IP is this (169.254.213.39/255.255.0.0/-----) so I cant connect to net.

the problem here is not a backtrack problem, but rather a linux and lack of networking knowledge problem. google "networking + internet connection sharing + linux" it brings up literally hundreds of useful links, tutorials etc
