terminal86, i tried changing the syslinux.cfg file like u said, it still didnt work. is there anyplace where i can find the partition name of my usb drive? as in could it be anything other than sda1?

Did you try to redo the Installation on your USB drive?
Make sure when u do the bootinst.bat that u are on the right drive!
Check your partitions with fdsik.

yeah, i tried the reinstall many times, it wont boot if i did that bootinst.dat in a different directory, im sure it has something to do with the root=dev/ram0 part of the syslinux file, i just cant find the correct name or directory of the usb stick. is there an easy way to do that in xp? it could be sda1,sda2,sdb etc... i think i just have to find that name.

hi all, i want know how to install BT3 in a usb..I don´t want copy the 2 folders in the usb and click in bootinst.bat, i really want install BT3 in the usb similar to hard disk... sorry for my terribly english but i´m from spain. Thanks for all.
