Cant say I've ever had any problems like that.
I've uncovered a problem with opening up files on another OS. For example, I've used KSnapshot to takea few snaps of my screen and also created various text documents in BT3 but have been unable to open up the documents in Ubuntu. With the PNG's I get "Image Load Failed" with Image Viewer and also the same kind of error if I try with GIMP.
Text files are strange whereas they display no contents when opened to read and when I double click on them it says "Do you want to run [Filename], or display its contents" "[Filename] is an executable text file".
Any ideas folks?

Might be similar to the problem I faced when copying files to a thumb drive. If you dont perform a sync before unmounting, the files will be zero bytes. Give it a try.
