    Default resend a lan packet

    hey,
i dont know what i should search for, so i ask you
i want to resend a sniffed/captured lan (not wlan) packet.

example: a programm sends data, i want to capture it and resend it everytime i want.

i looked up after sniffing tools, but they cant send, so, how do i call this function?
google only says bullsh*t with the keywords i chose.

any programm in bt for this?

thanks, and sorry for my bad english

    Check out scapy

It takes a bit getting used to with the python scripting language and all, but its extremely powerful in taking raw input, such as a random packet, and then dividing each part into its respective OSI layer for inspection or customization.

The words 'just send a recaptured LAN packet' are very simple.

The techniques for sending a captured LAN packet may not be.

As with many things of this nature it is not unusual to find that the answer you seek is more difficult than you were expecting it to be, sometimes we need to work a little harder than we want - in those circumstances you may often find that the results you get are better than you were expecting

And they (Kinata) did that very thing......

scapy is what you're looking for. Are there other ways, of course. Are they easier, not really. Python is very easy to learn if you can dedicate a "little" bit of time to grasp the architecture.

On second thought, I'm starting to doubt whether you're actually searching on your own or not. I base this doubt on the fact that I just did a search about 40 seconds ago using "resend a captured LAN packet" an viola, second link was describing NAST, exactly the tool I had in mind for you. First post was linked to this thread......

*sigh* When are people going to start thinking for themselves? Wishful thinking on my part, unfortunate as that is........
