Installing updates to live usb stick

Hi,

I have BT4 live DVD in my 4 Gb usb stick, I got it there using unebootin.

Is there any way to install updates there?

BTW can I copy some files ie.text files like guides to that usb stick?

if I'm not wrong then using unetbootin will give you a live distro on your usb ... thats live and not persistent. its just like using the live dvd but from a usb stick so you cant write any files to your system.

you have to follow the howto on installing bt4 persistent on a usb stick otherwise you cant update your system.

Well I dont want to install it permanently, cause that usb stick is for installing bt4, I dont have any DVDs so its easier with usb stick.

However I tecknically can write to usb, but not to norewritable DVD.
