Logon Screen
ok i have BT3 on hdd and when it boots it goes straight in as root i made a user how do i put up a logon screen
There may be another way to get a logon screen, I did a full install on my HDD, and now it makes you login before starting KDE. You may have problems running bt3 under a different user as some applications need root privileges to operate correctly.Originally Posted by Tampa2pac

I slept once, it was a Tuesday.
It won't be the logon screen that you're used to, but hey... it's a logon screen (window rather).
Pull up the KDE menu -> System -> Settings -> System Administration -> Login Manager
Click on the "Convenience" tab (last tab from left to right)
Uncheck the "Enable Auto-Login" box
... you should now be asked for your username and password upon rebooting.
