Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69
i have already read that but was wondering if that applies to me because i want to use a second hard drive and not change any thing on my old one

I typed in "mount" and only one came up if this is even it this is the name of the hard drive that came up "dev/hdb on mnt/hdb" how can i find out if this is the one that has xp on it and how can i find the hard drive that i am looking for?
also this is what i did when i just got the internal hard drive i plugged it in i was booted in xp at the time and i selected to use it as storage because i did not want to replace my original HD and that was what it was telling me it was going to do, dose this even matter?
What can i do or read to find the second HD
remove the second hard drive and install BT on the one with the XP Partition I would assume, that way you don't have to worry about the second drive. Then just put it back in when you have it installed. I don't know how you intend to install it though... you still have to use the BT installer, which doesn't exist in BT3...
