If you run BT using a live-CD the changes will not be saved, in case you use a real HDD installation on the other hand all changes will naturally be saved just as with any other OS. The last option would be to run BT using a USB-stick, in which case changes will only be saved if you use a installation with persistent changes.

I use a USB stick to boot into BT3. and i always update the kernel and the RT73 driver from 3.0.0 to 3.0.1 to be able to use aircrack-ng suite. how do i do keep the driver to 3.0.1 exactly?
