Booting via Wd usb passport

Hello!

I have the following problem
When I m trying to boot at my pc now..(I ve made and tried the bootable usb at my sisters laptop where it worked just fine).. from my wd 320 usb passport I get a blackscreen with the " _ " blinking but without booting to backtrack .I can't get it to work with several restarts either..

Any ideas ?

what is the passport's filesystem? i have a passport 120 and it works fine with FAT32.
