wrote the ISO in CD(good quality) at 40X.
Booted Bactrack from CD. Everthing went well . chose KDE-GUI.
it was loading when i got this error(on a black screen)

    recommended mode
    1280 x 1024 60 hz
after this it keeps on flickering after that.
I use the same resolution on my Windows XP.
    I have a 17" LCD Monitor(samsung)
I again booted with Bactrack and selected Text mode this time around
logged in with root and toor and used acpi=off (somebody suggested me that) started KDE with startx
    but got same error.
i also tried burning CD with slower speed , but had the same result
I have NTFS partition on my 250 gb hard drive.

shows me an error after i start BT in KDE gui mode

    "not optimum mode
    recommended Mode
    1280 x 1024 60hz"

from there on it keeps flickering

No need to start another thread for this same error, http://forum.remote-exploit.org/show...7502#post97502, just give it some time and someone with the appropriate knowledge will surely take their time to address your problem.
