i am new to linux and bactrack ofcourse.
I downloaded bactrack 3 from this site.
here is the Md5 f79cbfbcd25147df32f5f6dfa287c2d9 *bt3-final.iso
wrote the ISO in CD(good quality) at 40X.
Booted Bactrack from CD. Everthing went well . chose KDE-GUI.
it was loading when i got this error(on a black screen)

after this it keeps on flickering after that.
I use the same resolution on my Windows XP.
I have a 17" LCD Monitor(samsung)
I again booted with Bactrack and selected Text mode this time around
logged in with root and toor and used acpi=off (somebody suggested me that) started KDE with startx
but got same error.
i also tried burning CD with slower speed , but had the same result
I have NTFS partition on my 250 gb hard drive.

Core II Quad 2.4 GHz
Nvidia Chipset on Asus board.
2 Gb Ram
650W psu
250 gigs drive.
22X DVD
shows me an error after i start BT in KDE gui mode

from there on it keeps flickering

BT3 seems to work on VMware with the same ISO on my computer, but not with the boot CD, same resolution error, what should i reset o edit.![]()
