Specify the entire file system path to the wordlist.If you're booting from a LiveUSB stick /root may be in RAM but does not represent RAM. If it's a full USB install then any directory would be bound by the capacity of the USB device (likely just a few GB).My wordlist is just way too big to go to /root (if I'm correct, /root is the system ram?)
CD = Change directory, what are you trying to compare it to (DOS?) and how do you feel it differs?I am running off of the USB version of BT3. Both the wordlist (called hatelist.txt, I bet you know where that's from) and the psk2-02.cap file are in a folder called: media:/sda3/Backtrack3stuff
I tried using the CD command, but it appears to be a little different in Linux. Help?![]()
