Thread: BT: WWAN (3G/UMTS/HSDPA) Supported?

  1. #1

    Question BT: WWAN (3G/UMTS/HSDPA) Supported?

Does anyone know if BT supports any embedded 3G UMTS/HSPA (or EVDO) cards to any extent (ie: drivers)? And if so, do any (Linux) programs exist for use with them (ie: scanners or something like that)?

I am considering a Sierra Wireless embedded HSPA module, but wonder if it will work with BT:

    I am currently using a Verizon PC5750 PCMCIA EVDO-RevA card with BT3.

I use kppp to dial the connection... only downside is I cannot view the signal strength or just do not know how at the moment.
