For those that want full injection capability with the iwl4965, go to:

Summary:

...Download Ubuntu 8.04 on LIVE CD
...Install on PC
...Use the process in the aircrack-ng forum thread to update kernel to 2.6.26
and incorporate full 4965 capability

Easy noob process ... majority of the process via GUI.

Works well.

The last hurdle to acheive full injection w/cracking capability was solved recently by using wpa_supplicant to provide the fake authentication for the 4965.

If Ubuntu is not your main o/s, use remastersys to make a bootable usb or CD with the 2.6.26 kernel and 4965 capability:
