System freeze !!!

Hi guys,

I have ah Problem with BT3 Final. When i do a click on Connect in Wireless Assistent on my Wireless Network, the whole laptop freezes. I can´t use my mouse an keyboard. Whe this happens, i can only do an reset.

My Wlan Card: Realtek RTL8180

I tried to use ifconfig and iwconfig, to change the settings manually. Also i tried to start BT3 in Vesa Mode.

Nothig changes ... Freeze !!!!!


I read al lot of posts in this forum. there are some guy with the same problem, but noone can solve this.
I hope someone can help me.

okay now i know what you mean. but as i wrote, i used the CLI for configuration.
ever whe the iwconfig will be used, the sytem freezes.

GUI Wireless Assistants in *nix are terrible. Use CLI for best results.

Use the Command Line Interface (terminal/shell commands) for best results.

just search for APLHA and WEP you will find some good code basicly I have to bring the inf down then iwconfig then bring it up or it bails ..

still can't get WPA to work

(thats just me .. )
