Still problems with licensing?

Ty. I'm using both atm.
I did up some videos on using OpenVAS, it is not hard to use.

Nessus is not included, due to redistribution issues. This will not change until Tenable change their minds. OpenVAS is an excellent replacement.
What license terms are making it so hard to add Nessus?
I believe the reason for this is Nessus is now closed its source and is charging for its service which is against the open source policy. However,if you really want Nessus build it from source or download it from the nessus page and subscribe for the personal edition of the plugin feed.
OpenVAS is almost identical to Nessus anyway and is a great substitute. Nessus does have alot more plugins then OV, but still it works great for me![]()
Given that their product is a paid service (updates to the system) its understandable why they would not want to have it included. It is somewhat odd though that they'd be against including the base software without the feeds and allow users to register their own as they see fit - home or professional grade. I've got 4.2 installed and it works great, the reports are concise and well organized. I need to do some more comparisons against OpenVAS (which is currently not installed here).
