Hi

I would just like to thank BT 3 Team in another Exelent Job Well Done...

Just downloaded my BT3.ISO CD and made it USB, I have notice an error that occurs....

I was using Aircrack-ng

" Ifconfig ath0 up
airmon-ng stop ath0

- wifi0 ---- bla bla
- atho ---- bla bla

airmon-ng ath0 start

-wifi0 ---- bla bla
((( ath0 ))) is missing at this step... WHY????

3 airodump-ng ath0 ( and if gives me and error )

After a few hours of thinkering my brain apart...

I did the following:

after step 2:
I run kismet after that...

ifconfig

L0
kes0
wifi0
ath0


then i run airodump-ng and ath0 appears again... and it runs perfectly....
is their something i might be doing wrong??

any help would be gladly apreciated....
Oh and the light doesn't go on like in windows??? Any solution for that?

Your nick should be bla-bla.do this after properly booting BT3.
airmon-ng start wifi0
this will create one more interface for monitoring named ath1
airodump-ng ath1
aireplay-ng -9 ath1(Injection Test)
(use ath1 for monitoring and injection & ath0 for Infrastructure mode[one at a time])

You might find it useful to look at the wlanconfig command, it allows you to create virtual interfaces (the ath0, kis0, ath1, interfaces) to your needs, as well as destroy them once they're no longer necessary.
