Alright, here is an update. It is working in the gnome-desktop-environment with no issues yet.
As a side note, gnome has actually improved the stability of running BackTrack on this laptop(Toshiba M45).
This has been happening on my Toshiba Satellite M45. Basically right after I lock the session using the K menu It just stops working and the light in the mouse will actually turn off as well (not immediately, more like a minute later). After it freezes, if you unplug the mouse and pug it back in it will receive no power. When I go to tty5 or something and then back to 7 the session will be locked and the mouse still works. When in tty 1-6 using gpm I don't seem to have any issues when closing lid or waking from a suspend. I wonder if this is a security feature preventing usb devices from being read after a session is locked?
well if anybody has any ideas shoot em this way pleaseIt is not that bad since my touchpad still works afterward. I will also check if this happens with other usb devices.
Alright well it has also happened within 30 seconds after startx without locking the screen.... Maybe this is more of a 2.6.30.x bug than a backtrack bug.
Cheerz
