Hello everyone, I'm rather new to BT4 so sorry if I'm a bit of a n00b. I just installed the BT4 final on my computer and I have a network cable hooked up to it. The network works when I'm using my distro off Mint which I'm using to post on this forum, but I can't get it to work on BT4. Is there a driver I need to install or am I not configuring something right? Thanks a lot to whoever can help.
A lot of links in this thread can help you with networking basics. http://www.backtrack-linux.org/forum...ad-thread.html

Common Knowledge: Username, "root". Password, "toor". "startx" gives you a GUI, and "fix-vesa" will fix BT if you have no GUI. Start networking with "/etc/init.d/networking start" and check your IP settings with "ifconfig -a". "dhclient" will automatically use DHCP for your IP. Google is your friend.
