What wireless card/chipset are you using? Also have you tried iwconfig wlan0 mode monitor instead of airmon-ng? Apart from that have you tried actually following the advice from the error message?
Airmon-ng Error - "Neither the sysfs interface links nor the iw command is available"
When I run the command "airmon-ng start wlan0" i get the following error message.
"Neither the sysfs interface links nor the iw command is available.
Please download and install iw from http: //dl.aircrack-ng.org/iw.tar.bz2"
I am using the extended version of Back Track 3 and do not have it installed on my computer.
Any suggestions?
