Karma Fix
The error for file location of iwconfig in the /pentest/wireless/karma/bin/monitor-mode.sh from BT2 is still in this version. Fix is as follows;
Change:
/usr/sbin/iwconfig $INTERFACE channel 1 mode monitor essid any
to:
/sbin/iwconfig $INTERFACE channel 1 mode monitor essid any
When You have a new fix please start a new thread with a descriptive title so that when someone is searching the answer will be painfully obvious. Thank you for contributing a fix. I will check it out and verify it and will add it to the wiki with credit to you.

There is no error.you need to execute the following commands to correctly configure karma.
ln -s /sbin/iwconfig /usr/sbin/iwconfig
ln -s /sbin/iwpriv /usr/sbin/iwpriv
ln -s /sbin/iwevent /usr/sbin/iwevent
That is all to be done.THERE IS NO ERROR IN KARMA CONFIGURATION
That post was old and meant for bt3 beta in which is was needed. As of now karma is fixed and bt3 has the patched madwifi driver for it thanks to H.D. Moore
I toyed around with bt3 & karma on my Eee 701 for the past two days. As long as you use madwifi-ng keep the following in mind
path:
.../karma/modules/servers/AccessPoint
file:
accesspoint.rb
"ifconfig ath0 hw ether ... " is used to change the MAC (not working anymore -> pre-run macchanger for that)
"iwconfig ath0 mode Master" is used to change to AP mode (not working anymore -> pre-run wlanconfig ath0 create wlanmode ap wlandev wifi0
For some reason I manually have to run "iwpriv ath0 karma 1" to give it a go.
