    Ahh, no, his desktop looked a lot like my room. Messy!
    Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69

    when I do ls it looks like

    [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
    [ ]

    One extra entry taking up one line, for no reason.

    and I ls in root quite often since thats where I download files and such things.

    The only way you're going to make that go away is to remove kde, I don' think a system that is command line only has a Desktop directory.
