    Default BT3 - Extreme Freeze

    Hi!

I installed BT3 on a external USB Device, almost everything is fine, now.
But sometimes it crashes hard, a full system freeze.

The System stops without a reason or errormessage.
Just the Num-lock LED is flashing on, off, on, off, on off...
The screen and all input devices freeze.

There is no difference if BT is idling or calculating.

Does anybody know about this Problem?
    Can I fix it?

    Thank you!
    SB

    Wink

having similar problem, bactrack just crashes at a certain stage preferably when using aircrack-ng

This is happening to me to, first i tried the backtrack 3 CD
Disadvantages: It Boot's very slow, and you have that CD Reading noise constantly giving you headaches, lol.

USB: There is a major improvement here compared to the CD in terms of speed, but for some reason i also get random crashes.

How about considering a Hard Drive Install?
No need for any USB's, or CD's? And everything will get saved, no matter what you are doing...

That's my view, search the forums for the HD Install if your interested
