    Default Cut and paste?

    I wanted to be able to cut and paste out of backtrack. i see that some vmware tools are installed, but its not letting me cut and paste out of the vm. i am using vmware player.

    any suggestions for a linux newbie? the more details the better. thank you!

    yes. It comes standard in the BackTrack3 build, apparently. And within it, I can launch the vmware tools properties gui and see that I can configure only the sync with the machine time. so it looks like its all installed correctly.
    this is why its driving me so crazy that simple cut and paste from the guest to the host isn't working.
