No one here works at office depot or knows someone who does that can just open the damn box and check and see?
So I went to Office Depot today and they had the WG511 v2. On the box though it says "Bonus up to 108Mbps (WG511T)". It actually had the WG511T in parenthesis. So this made me wonder if they actually included the card in the box getting rid of old cards in the factory, or maybe the Marvell chipset is somehow now supporting speeds that high. Does anyone on here know? I would have bought it, but the 16 year old service clerk informed me that if I were to return it without the shrink wrapping it would only get me an exchange and in no possible way would they refund me my money.

Really no sense in adding another post, just edit the last one.
I will speculate that no no knows the answer.
You might try ask an associate at the store to open it for you.
You might try explaining that you need a certain model and that the model is contained on the product itself and not the box.
Might also try and get the f.c.c. id number.

Apparently no one seems to know. However, I would recommend not shopping at a place like Office Depot for your hardware. Always go to a computer specialist store if you need something specific for something like Backtrack. (Or pretty much *ANY* time you require Linux)
My guess is that you want to go to Office Depot because it is cheaper? There are probably online deals with known good hardware that beat it hands down.
Having worked at a similar place years and years ago, I can say that the sales drones don't know their stuff. And when they do, they get fed up and leave for better jobs elsewhere.
And as an aside, I would NEVER shop at a place that did not allow me to return hardware within 30 days. If breaking the shrinkwrap means no-returns (other than software) that means no business from me.
Alright thanks...I actually am not a n00b at this at all, I just wanted to buy the card with cash in town for my own reasons. I think I might just open the box in store and just act like I didn't know any better. I already tried asking the guy at OD to open it, and explained my situation, but I think he had smoked a little too much weed on his last break and couldn't really talk or explain why he couldn't open it.
