    Default package manager issues

    I cannot get a package manager working.. It really is just making me pull my hair out..

    Is there a tut somewhere? I checked the wiki and the search option said basically its possible, but didnt say how..

    My main issue is that I'm getting the error:
    Make: error 2
    which search has told me I need to slapt-get install build-essentials, but slapt-get said there is no such package

    Any information/opinions is greatly appriciated :-)

    Please do not make multiple posts on the same subject in case you forgot see here: http://forums.remote-exploit.org/showthread.php?t=14931

    As for a tutorial on installing slapt-get the internet contains thousands of them. The home of slapt-get is here
    The install page on the website contains the following:
    To install:

    $ make
    $ make install

    Edit /etc/slapt-get/slapt-getrc (see README for details)
    Once this is done have a look at the README

    Also this link is another good one concerning BT3 beta and slapt-get

    As for an make error 2 what exactly (read, cut and paste here in this thread) does the error say?
    For more info on make see either the man page or here
