I am having the same problem, I am running in vwware (bridged connection), same broadcom card, and i downloaded and installed a driver for that card but there was no change.
Hey guys, I am using Macbook and BT3. I have installed backtrack as a virtual machine with parallels but parallels. No luck with finding the wireless card there, so I burned a live CD. I don't think you'll get it to work in parallels. Virtual machines usually don't see the built in wireless card as wireless. I suppose I ought to burn a cd and see what my macbook does....
Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69
I would be very grateful.
You're better off running it live via rEFIt - it works perfectly in VESA mode (I haven't had the time to other modes.
I wasn't able to run it in Parallels nor VM Fusion, so rEFIt is a saviour. Also, I see our specs are 4.1, all I can say is that this method works great for my machine with the following specs:
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro3,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.6 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 4 MB
Memory: 4 GB
Bus Speed: 800 MHz
Boot ROM Version: MBP31.0070.B07
SMC Version: 1.18f4

I've got a Santa Rosa Macbook and can't seem to get wifi to work in BT3 live cd.
On iwconfig, it's says "No wireless extensions"... Any clue?
It's a Broadcom BCM43xx.
Arg..
Sorry, it's a Broadcom bcm4328.
