I have a computer connected with a Belkin N USB Adapter (Belkin F5D8053) and I am not able to configure it to work with BackTrack 4. Is it even a compatible card?

BTW, you should include the card's chipset when you ask for support. It's easy to find out and will only take you less than one minute. In your case it was a question of googling "F5D8053 V3 chipset", I didn't even had to open any page, since google shows the information right away (ralink rt2870).
