Screen resolution problem.

I am new to backtrack and having problem with screen resolution. I have a widescreen 23 inch samsung monitor and its set at 1920x1080. My back track resolution is set at 800x600 at its default. When I open metasploit for example and show exploits, all the words are wrapped or cut off. Can anyone give me pointers on how to fix this issue so this is true fullscreen and my words in the shells are not messed up.

Well, you could tell us what kind of video card you're using. Then we can figure out if it's a driver problem (my guess).
Do an lspci and paste the video lines in here for us.

Also, how are you running BackTrack? LiveCD/LiveUSB or did you install?

I had the same issue with the vm version so I just made a new vm using the iso version.
