usb dongle help?

hey people im currently having trouble setting up my usb dongle (zd1211 chipset) backtrack recognises the usb dongle and i am now wondering what the commands are to set the essid for it.

basically can someone tell me the commands..

also id like to set the dongle up as an access point ,if anyone would kindly share theses commands it would be greatly appreciated

just an update ive figured out how to set the essid of the dongle
iwconfig eth1 essid ????that worked for me now to change from managed mode to master mode, im still puzzled i tryed this command >bt ~ # iwconfig eth1 mode master,but this is wat bt2 said=
Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
SET failed on device eth1 ; Invalid argument.

now i only presume that the above command is right (or should be right), but if not can someone please explane. cheers..........;-)

If my memory serves me right master mode is not (yet) supported for the zd1211 chipset. This is why the command does not work for you.
