    Default Bus Error

    Hi all,

I am installing BT4 as a vm on my VM player, which is running on vista.
(The OS is crapsta I mean vista sp2)

I am trying to get the BT4 VM networking working
    - when I try to enable my eth0 as a dhcp client I get "Bus Error"

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks

More details, like how you're trying to enable eth0 helps us help you. How is your networking set up in VM player? NAT? Bridged?

Seems like OP had already posted the details in another thread. Quoting:

I keep getting Bus Errors on my system -
    For example:
    cat /etc/network/interfaces
    Bus error

    or

    /etc/init.d/networking start
Configuring netowrk interfaces.../etc/init.d/networking: line 63: 7650 Bus error
    ifup -a
    /lib/lsb/init-functions: line 334: 7655 Bus error
    /bin/echo -e "${RED}failed${end}${NORMAL}"

The host system is vista sp2 running vm player just on a laptop and the vm that I am getting the errors with is Back Track 4 final iso.
I am begining to think that this Compaq is a pile of S"$%E.

Has anyone come across these Bus Errors before?

    Many thanks
