I need some help with some airodump problems

When i write:

airodump-ng eth0 -w /root

it says:

caught signal 11, contact author

and then stops or

*** glibc detected *** sudo: double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x08064ea8 ***

and stops, how do I have to solve this problem??

(im new so can you explain it in normal language(english))
