Mounting Local Root Linux Filesystem From Live Cd

I am using Fedora Core 9 on X64 platform.

I am trying to help a friend out , I need to mount my local Root Filesystem so I can run some of my program from it, to see if they will Run in BT2. To my surprise this was not a easy thing.

mount /dev/hdc2 /mnt/hdc2 -t sysfs
it mounts something , but i can't use it in the livecd , there are directories but none of my files are there. (there is a dir called fuse)

I notice during the boot up , it said mounting none root file systems , is there a way to tell it to mount it , or is my command wrong.

ps: i am using a mass storage Card IDE, I don't know if this matters , but I thought I would let you know.

Use fdisk to get the information about your disk and to see if its being picked up at all. If it is, check its the right one and edit /etc/fsab before you try and mount it.
