I can get bt3 on a USB drive and I can get it to boot and run. But, I would like to be able to persist changes on the USB drive (favorites in FF, text files, etc.).

I have tried several (actually 3) different websites that have instructions on how to do this, but none of them seem to work.

After I have a single FAT32 partition with bt3 files copied to it (partition created in and files copied from XP Pro sp3 box), what should be my next steps to CORRECTLY make it bootable AND have a partition (if an extra one is truly needed) for persisting all of my data/changes on the USB drive?

I have spent 4 days on this and screwing it up is getting really old.

UPDATE: I figured it out using the old BT2 How To's. Specifically the one at h__p:||forums.remote-exploit.org|showthread.php?t=7844&page=13 -- Now if I can just get Gslapt to work, I'll be good to go....
