GUI not loading on hp pavilion dv6z

BackTrack boots boots fine, but when I try to load the GUI (using startx command) I get an error saying "fatal server error:
no screens found"

I am using a HP Pavilion dv6z laptop, 4GB ram, dual core amd Turion processor

I tried it on another HP PC and it worked fine, but I need it working on my laptop.

I am familiar with Linux (Ubuntu), but this is my first time using BackTrack.

try running Xorg -configure, and then use cp to move the new xorg.conf.new file to /etc/X11/xorg.conf and see if that works for you.
