finally i figured it out myself... for acer's this may help
hai friends
a bit history:
till now i was having tremendous issues with my acer laptop amd 64 t2 and i used to run with an old transcend usb stick . so i was fighting and learned a hard way in my lab and finally using usb stick and metasploit frame work i could make an access to 2003 windows server which is also a lab computer and that was my lifes happiest moments. and from then my journey begun now i thought and no longer waited to boot from pen drive and at one point i was thinking to install my entire bt3 to my 160gb hd
now:
the thing is atleast i faced so many problems when booting thru pen drive the screen used to come but from there it used to stop at the apic devices
so for any newbies with acer laptops this is the bottom line
when bootin first thru pen drive
start -> f2 -> usb pen drive in bios->f10 save it
next a screen appears
here although lot of people said that to turn off acpi i never worked i show the configuration for which it worked for me
################################################
boot from kde
boot from flux box
boot from text mode etc
*press tab for command line option
here press the tab button
whatever u find just do this
give a space at the end of the line and write both of the following
noapic acpi=off
this should work
note removing either of them dint work for me
thank you
raki
