Loading stops while booting up
CD works on my other laptop, but I have an issue with my IMB Thinkpad T30.
Hardware compability says it should work without no extra parameters.
here's the loading
linux live end, starting the Linux distribution
INIT: version 2.86 booting
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw)
Starting udevd: /sbin/udevd --daemon
Triggering udev events: /sbin/udevtrigger
udevd-event: run_program: '/sbin/modprobe' abnormal exit
then stalls for a minute or so
grep: /etc/hardwareclock: No such file or directory
Setting system time from the hardware clock ( localtime).
Testing root filesystem status: read-only filesystem
Checking root filesystem:
fsck 1.39 (29-May-2006)
Remounting root device with read-write enabled.
aufs on / type aufs (rw)
Module dependencies up to date (no new kernel moduels found).
then it stops and hangs
Any ideas? I've tried searching a bunch of times but cant find anything yet
is there any kind of parameters at boot to try?
try adding acpi=off as a boot parameter, although it might not help but anyway, try it
