Tip one: what type of chipset do you have ?

Hi there,
So I am trying to get BackTrack 2 to work on VMware player and everything seems to be working fine except I cannot connect to the internet. I have looked around on the forums and have tried doing dhcpcd and all that but whenever I try and enable the ethernet (and also when bt2 actually starts up) I get an error message: "VMnet0:Overlapped I/O operation is in progress. Failed to connect virtual device Ethernet0."
The internet works fine if I boot from a CD but ideally I'd like to use bt2 on VMware player while running XP. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Archangel, Thanks for the tips. I've got a Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller. I checked out the threads you sent and I had already looked through one and couldn't solve my problem with it and checked out the video you sent but I couldn't solve my problem through that either. I appreciate any other tips you've got. Thanks!
