Default Ubiquiti SuperRange Cardbus (SRC) 300mW PCMCIA

Ubiquiti SuperRange Cardbus (SRC) 300mW PCMCIA
    Long-Range 802.11 a/b/g Cardbus
    External Antenna Connectors (Dual MMCX)

This card work extremely well under BackTrack3beta. Highly recommended.

** Ubiquiti has a brand new SR71 series which adds the high speed N class to the line-up (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n) and is also now available in a USB dongle with external antenna connection.

Ubiquiti SuperRange Cardbus (SRC) 300mW PCMCIA = Atheros 5004 chipset @ about $120.00US

The new Ubiquiti SR71USB = Atheros AR9160 chipset @ about $150.00US and is just hitting the market now.

See their website, ubnt.com, for more info and specs. Mini PCI also available for the SR71 series. Prices available from distributors and resellers a list of which is also available on their website.

I will report back on the workings of the SR71USB as soon as I get my hands on one. My intent with the USB dongle is to hook it up to a cantenna or a pole mounted yagi and then run 1-3 fifteen foot USB repeater cables to whatever machine I want to work from with as little loss as possible.

Any update about the compatibility of this card with backTrack? I would like to order one of these as well.
