b3 trouble! Kismet and airodmp!

I've got a wireless card with Atheros chipset
I got kismet to work with: kismet -c madwifi_g,wifi0,madwifi.
But if i use ath0 instead of wifi0 it wont work. But shoudlnt it work because ath0 is my wireless card? :S
And when i start airodump i get this:
ARP linksys is set to 1 (ethernet) expected ARPHRD_IEEE80211 or or ARPHRD_IEEE80211_PRISM instead. Make sure RFMON is enabled: run ifconfig ath0 up: iwconfig ath0 mode monitor channel x.
Sysfs injection support was not found either.

And when i type iwconfig ath0 mode monitor channel 11 i get this:

try ether of the following methods:

# iwconfig wlan mode monitor

or

# wlanconfig ath0 destroy
# wlanconfig ath0 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode monitor

both should work but ive had more luck with the second method.

Yea i got the second alternative to work, i foudn some link on this oard somewhere. And aswell the command to bring the wireless back to standard mode too. Thanks alot
